So, the other day, the hairdryer hood wasn't the only thing I found. Somebody tossed this cork bulletin board too. The surface had some discoloration so to disguise that and make the whole thing a bit more interesting, I decided to tizzy it up with layer of decoupaged tissue paper.
About as low-key a craft as you can get, it takes about five minutes to coat the cork with decou-podge and then smooth out the tissue paper on top with more decou-podge. The longest part of the process is waiting for it to dry. I like the tailoring motif but I think it would be really cute to do this project with a floral or leaf-patterned tissue.

That's a great idea ... I got sick of my discoloured cork board and covered it in hessian and a strip of fabric on the end and it looks great too.. you can't see the nasty holes any more.
